- Place in a Warmer: Use a wax melt warmer designed for the type of wax melt you have. A tea light or electric warmer is usually required. Ensure the warmer is clean and dry before use.
- Use the Right Amount: Only place one or two heart-shaped wax melts in the warmer, depending on the size of the well. Overloading may result in excessive fragrance or spillage.
- Allow to Melt: Turn on the warmer and let the wax melt until it releases fragrance. The heart-shaped wax melts should take a few minutes to liquefy and disperse scent.
- Switch Off After Use: Once the scent begins to fade or after 3-4 hours, turn off the warmer to prevent overheating and wax waste.
- Wax Disposal: When the wax no longer produces scent, allow it to cool and harden. Gently remove the wax from the warmer, either by popping it out or wiping with a paper towel. Don’t pour melted wax directly into drains.
- Clean the Warmer: Regularly clean your wax warmer to prevent wax buildup. Use a soft cloth or paper towel, and if needed, use warm water and soap to clean the well. Be sure the warmer is completely dry before adding new wax.
- Store Wax Melts Properly: Store unused wax melts in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keeping them in an airtight container or sealed packaging helps preserve the fragrance.
- Avoid Overheating: Never leave the wax warmer on for extended periods. Excess heat can degrade the wax and fragrance. Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for time limits on warming.
